The Inheritance of 100 Years
Dynasties, great leaders and mighty states have all perished within a 100 years time. In business too, few companies continue to improve over the course of a century, successfully passing a philosophy from one generation on to the next. It is vital to possess a priceless inherited tradition constantly reaching out into the world – this is the history of Kaiser Pharmaceutical (KP).
In 1892, a Chinese medicinal herb collector and trader named Tsai Lianghai sailed across the straits and arrived at a small village in southern Taiwan. There, he discovered herbs flourishing in Taiwan’s warm climate. Yet he was shocked to see the depth of impoverishment and poor health in the village and decided to set up a small herb shop dedicated to sharing his rich knowledge of Chinese herbs. KP traces its history back to this small, compassionate herb shop.
